My mom loves to spoil my littles with treats. They know she always has a stash of something tucked away in her car or purse and love to seek them out. As you can see, they are pretty excited when they find the loot!
We have been lucky lately to have had some wonderful spring weather. Last Friday we took a day off school to enjoy it and spent the day playing with the hose, having car washes (aka wash all the dirty outside toys) and eating popsicles. It felt so good to be outside all day and the kids were thrilled to break out bathing suits and squirt bottles. Now we are counting down the days until summer!

I don’t know if you planned the color of that popsicle, but it is fabulous with that shirt, haha!
What exactly is going on here? Are our children 4 or 14? These were a few moments I captured during our Valentine’s Day shoot with Taylor and Shelby. I have a feeling Mr. Nate is going to be quite the ladies man as he grows up!

I couldn’t love these more. The way Taylor and Nate are looking at each other… MELT!!! And don’t get me started on little Shelby!
I upgraded my camera a few months ago and the first thing I noticed was the difference in colors. Mia’s eyes in real life lean towards a blue-gray so I was shocked to see her baby blues lit up so bright straight out of camera. I know this looks photoshopped but it isn’t! Not sure if it’s good or bad that the colors are coming out so saturated but either way, I’m captivated by this little beauty!

What a beautiful SOOC shot- Wow! Your daughter’s eyes are gorgeous! And not edited?! Amazing!
My best friend asked me recently to take a picture of her family in silhouette at the beach for a specific place in her house. She had a vision in mind and so we set off to try to make it happen. After a last minute change of location (I didn’t put it together until we were on the way that we needed a West facing beach for this shot!) we arrived to find some gorgeous light. It was tough for me to shoot these in silhouette because the light was so beautiful so I snuck in a few that weren’t (but that’s another post). We had a hard time picking a favorite but this one with it’s blue tones and little out-turned foot was it. Below are a few others I loved.

Oooh! Congrats on the new photo blog! It looks WONDERFUL! I was just drooling over your pics from the workshop…. WOW. It is so exciting to see your progression and what a passion you have for photography! ๐ LOVE these silhouette shots! They’re getting me all excited for our annual trip to FL next week. I was just studying your shots, and now I’m thinking the sun doesn’t set over the water like that in FL. I think it sets behind you. Bummer! I’d LOVE to get some like yours. Beautiful job! Have a wonderful week! xo

Ashley, I love these! The upturned foot is definitely a favorite. I also love the one of the dad throwing the daughter. That curly hair is amazing!
